Valentine's day occur just once in a whole year and I wonder why anybody won't be happy to receive this day. 

I wonder how the Red and White MYTH for all the world's occasions are usually in Red and White -  check St. Valentine and Christmas and US flag all in white and black but we are not protesting that, we love the colours anyways.

Let's talk about how to look dope with makeover on Val's day. There is nothing wrong with going for a beauty treat even if you don't need a makeover -  just try doing facials. 

FOODIE WAKA 

The best treat for me this Valley is on Foodie Waka, am eating the best of any food I see especially now that I know I won't be going out. I will definitely treat myself to the best meal ever. If you have a date or night out with your girls/guys, you should definitely find an awesome restaurant and do justice to their best meals. Now see the cake thing and Valentine. I don't need a card or flowers, just give me a Valentine cake and I'll love you forever. 

FASHION

I have always promised myself to wear the best of everything and so should you,  after all I will only live once before I die in this life. This is the best of inspiration you will get when going for a  Valentine dinner party or an intimate date. Don't forget you also have a casual and work code inspiration you can try. 

Don't tell me you don't do Val because you should celebrate any day worth celebrating. There is nothing wrong in catching fun ocassionally after a year of naija stress.  Let's make the best of every day we are alive.  I love you all.

Naija Babes and the Team Natural Smelly Hair Palava (Nenye Pleads)

"Nenye I had the worst day of my life" Manny, a friend had called to say. "You know this natural hair girls?"  I affirms,  "One sit near me of rebus today." 

Me: wetin come happen? Babes abeg, na only you deem do the bus for? 

Friend: I was in a bus going to my Aunt's place na im one girl decide to spoil my day. I had to ask her, "NE what's going on with your hair?" Nenye you know there is heat and the hair can smell.  She put her face like she is suffering from seizure and told me that her hair is natural. Imagine! I was use the info buy Ankara? 

Me: Calm down. 

Friend: I ask her, is that why your hair is smelling like that? As if something has died I there. So she said she had used avocado, Bama, egg and tomatoes to steam the hair. I just dey pity the guy we dey follow am because that hair dey smell. 

This is one of the many countless natural hair complaints I have heard just in February. 

Hello readers, this year will have more of our public opinion on things above fashion and makeup. 

Guess no one jumps into trends like a naija babe; trending shoes, clothes, weaves, crochet, and just any trending thing that they see.  The natural hair trend wouldn't have even considered as a "trend"  to us if we did not all leave it to retouch our hair.  Now the black race wants to prove that they have always cherished their natural gift from God and ditch all the artificial attachments, it made the whites to embrace braids too and the love for crafted beauty but that's not my point. Kudos anyways to the African patriotic sisters as I still stick to relaxers instead of coming headaches and ending up with Paradox each night. 

The problem right now is that this natural hair trend comes with a lot of ingredients and maintenance expensive products as the creation of style recently are unbelievable. You want to complain of a Peruvian hair? Oya price the natural hair condiments.

The problem is that the Nigerian hair textures are mostly coarser and can't form this styles of an afro carribean/mullahs hairstyles unless you are lucky to have a rubber soft hair but my Nigerian sisters will not hear, they end up mixing Agbo, she butter, Small Stout, Raw eggs, avocado pear, mayonnaise, cucumber, tomatoes and onion just to change hair textures by steaming?  Chai!  

When I visited Nkechi and saw her frying with butter, I had salivate and was waiting patiently for her to serve me, she earnestly was reading the food processes in her precious book singing and screaming with joy. So when she was done and all the ingredients became liquid in a bowl, she had confessed it was merely for her hair, "You know these natural hair ingredients are quite expensive right? So I went for a seminar and they taught us this. Not after my colleague had sold a fake she butter mixture for us. I heard this one works well." I had watched her sweaty self in pain, just all these stress to cook and steam a hair? 

I went home wondering what this natural hair has really done to our sisters,. Apart from its smell, it gives them sleepless nights, takes them to seminars and serious office discussions? This natural hair trends seems like a God these females have sworn to worship in truth and in spirit. Please if you want to join the team natural, just make it nice and neat. Every thing is worth doing well. Relaxer is just #200 if that natural hair is too expensive to maintain.

TRAGEDY STRUCK AS FUO STUDENT DIES AT OTU-OKE RIVER WHILE SWIMMING

An FUO student, identified as Ebuka Evans Young died on Sunday the 29th day of January while swimming at Otu-oke river at exactly 4:20pm.

According to an anonymous source, Ebuka had played football with his friends and went to the river to swim afterwards, displaying skills and flexibility in the river, he soon found it difficult to come out after his fun session. The source blamed companies for always digging out sand from the river thereby making it get deeper. 

His year of studies and department is yet to be verified as of now.

The community is thereby informed to stop allowing companies to dig out sands from its river as the soul topography ain't favourable to such businesses. Students are warned to keep off this river as it is a threat to their lives. The Student of FUO really feel sad for this loss.  RIP dear Ebuka.

5 Friends to Ditch this 2017

I am so filled with excitement for seeing 2017, so much that I can't even sleep, the joy of a new year is overwhelming even as I reflect and think about my yesterdays and tomorrow. Don't you think that the joy of this year requires just good tiding? I mean, if you survived 2016, you have survived it all. I pray that you prosper in all your life endeavours.

Anybody can be your friend as long as there is a mutual understanding between the two of you, but these are the friends you should be ditching except you have an excellent way of managing them. Let's go there friends. #smiles#

1.UNSERIOUS FRIENDS

This is the worst kind of friends, their number one intention is to redirect you from your life direction. Want to talk about all the unseriousness you can be? They are the Masters of misdirection. I kind of wonder how we have gotten into, the regrets and shortfalls, they are the reason. If you see all those ladies that have resolved to prayers everytime, chanting,  "Arena!  Areke! Areas!  read!"  This is the kind of friends they had.
Run from them. 2017 is just to good to indulge in this friendship.

2M FRIENDS WITH PRICE TAG

Some friends are merely there because there is something you have materially that is catching everyone's attention, they really want people to see that you flow together. Either you have a rich husband or a wealthy father -  that could actually be the reason that they are there. It is really not meat to be so and you can imagine yourself without these qualities and know if truly they will stay with you.  Run again and away from these class of friends please.

3 FRIENDS THAT THING IS TOO MUCH TO BE HAPPY IF YOU SPEED ON YOURSELF

I want to use myself as an example in portraying this friendship. Am an indoor kin of person and I hardly party or shop too but once in a month I will gladly go to a call centre and purchase my airtime for subscription during my NYSC days. So I had this Neighbour corps member who complained bitterly about my airtime purchases. She complained about my having a self-contain apartment instead of staying in a face me and I face you compound, after all, it is just for few months and not eternity.  Lol. Then some of your friends may wonder why you decide to hinder you that clothe of your choice. Common babe, take a vacation, live in Paradise, but the latest clothes and shoes if you can afford it and invest in whatever you wish to. Life is too short, enjoy it while you can and ditch whoever complains about anything that makes you happy. Remember the cost of maintaining your BP level will be more expensive to your enjoyment. I feel you sis, just enjoy while you can.

4.FRIENDS THAT BRINGS  OUT YOUR ANGER INSTEAD OF JOY

Some friends don't know what moments entails, they can always go off when you want it on, they just don't get it right. You really don't compliment each other and you are now irritated about everything. You obviously don't belong to the same behavioural class, do you even wonder sometimes, how the he'll you met? Rest, ditch that friend.

5. COMPETITIVE FRIENDS

We are meant to compliment each other not the other way round., jealousy breeds hatred and evils, it is not allowed in 2017. They want to have your man, always tells you who else has that car or luck you had. They obviously don't pat you at your back and say welcome. You seem like a hidden threat to them. Ditch that friends, there evil strategy is 100% and they are called the household enemies. Save yourself while you can.
